I have been in meetings like these and survived to post this on target user submission. Ahem, “the process.”

Cool, Shaken And Stirred
July 21st, 2008 · 1 Comment
Esquire Magazine, kinda known for iconic covers in the magazine industry, is about to set a new standard. Oh, and the magazine turns 75 this year. And Ford, which used to be a cool car company is treading into some very interesting technology. And these ingredients are mixed in the October issue of Esquire, which should hit news stands in September to create, the e ink cover and ad. So what makes e ink so sexy special?

Norwalk Jazz Festival
July 13th, 2008 · 14 Comments
Yesterday was the Norwalk Jazz Festival, in it’s second year. And what a difference a year makes. For whatever reason, last year’s effort was mired in the political mud that seems to cling to anyone that is involved in politics. But a music festival is not a political contest, it is a celebration of music, in this case jazz.
Herb Grant did an excellent job producing the show. The stage was well managed, sound wasn’t bouncing all over Norwalk, and Vets park was kept clean throughout the day with many volunteers picking up trash. I point out these things because how the park is used should be an important consideration in the granting of permits.
Duckpin Bowling
July 9th, 2008 · 9 Comments
I saw this film recently at the CT Film Fest in Danbury. A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, even about the time that Star Wars came out, I hung out at Seven Hills bowling alley and got my first taste of duckpin bowling. I don’t think there’s a Wii game for it, but this clip will show you why its an experience that just has to happen in person. Connecticut apparently has a strong number of lanes to play in. Enjoy.
The filmmakers are Connecticut based, btw and you can check out the web site, duckpinfilm.com for more info on the film.

Norwalk Weekend Update
June 8th, 2008 · 6 Comments
Hot. Hot. Hot. That is the weather report summarizing yesterday. Already at posting time, 8:30 ish Sunday morning, it is hot. It will be hot the rest of the day. Now that we have that out of the way, we can get back to our usual commentary. Like, hey what were the Guardian Angles doing on Wall street yesterday? They could have been eager to partake in the Main and Wall Street Festival that endured despite the high humidity and heat. Or they could have been strolling in their red berets trying to make a point. All I can say is that anyone sporting a beret walking on top of a chalk garden should be drawing on the street.

Advertising Billboards in Times Square

The building at One Times Square? Empty. The building owner charges $300k/month for the ad space. This is an interesting vid clip about those animated LED video displays, everything you wanted to know and more.
A tour of Times Square from Keyframe on Vimeo.
