Mardy Norwalk Open Thread

The Norwalk RTC has posted the documents obtained as part of the FOIA request of Amanda Brown. They are interesting is that the chain of headers is worth looking into. That would be geek-speak for looking at who sent what to whom. But that will come later as it will take time to review and assess. But I am somewhat disturbed after the first reading that in typical Norwalk fashion, the thrust of investigation has been brought down to the local level as if the rule of law somehow doesn’t apply in Norwalk.

For those interested the link is here.

And for those looking for an open thread, consider this it. Today’s musical guest is the Arctic Monkeys with Mardy Bum, for Mardy Norwalk.

The documents raise several big questions like: Why the push for CRRA when it appears to have not submitted its bid on time? Why is Bruce Morris involved in this and, as such, city business? and Why is Diane Lauricella, as LWV president and now spokesperson for “Open Government,” corresponding solely with the Democratic party? Of course there are little questions like: What is Matt Miklave’s role as an email correspondent? and What does Stuart Wells mean, in a letter addressed to “Concerned Democrats,” that “Still, taxpayers in West Norwalk, Silvermine, etc. save over a million bucks and South Norwalk get [sic] the garbage?” Is this supposedly a hot issue for District D (Gail Wail), but at the expense of (like.. do we really care about) South Norwalk?

Norwalk has had a dramatic drop in crime our streets are safe according to the press there has been no crimes to speak of over the weekend.Subway didn’t get robbed, vets parks bathrooms didn’t get busted up ect and hardly anything to write about. So what does our public think now?Norwalk is safe and someone needs a therapist.

Truth is police spokespersons are on vacation and the press is now experienceing a blackout only arrests that sound good are given out by desk sargets.A great way to decrease crime ignore the facts and tell the public all is well in Oz land.

Some people would rather deny it exists and victims are simply stupid for being at the wrong spot at the wrong time.Crime issues have been resolved there is no news.

Yep makes shotspotter sound great,I’m sure stocks for this company has been offered to all whom want some.Nows the time to buy figure Norwalks going to spend at least a million.

But the trash issue is something I hope they bring back the death penalty for this one.

Have a question can anyone help me by explain this. Negative asorption rate means what?

this was in 2006 for Norwalk

According to Cushman & Wakefield, the City’s Class-A vacancy rate decreased over the last year from 17.6% at the end of the fourth quarter in 2004 to 16.7% at the end of 2005 despite the addition of over 600,000 square feet of new
    1
    construction Class-An office space.

Now in the first half of this year we had 18,000 square feet of space vacated than was leased.

does this mean we are doing about the same as in 2006 or have we lost some ground and with all the projected development will that be factored in when rented or built.

Just curious with all the bells and whistles and all the hoopla over preparing for an emergency has Norwalk tripped any kind of emergency call so we can help out Fairfeild country with their problems. Its been about an hour and emergency units from all over Ct are heading this way I’m sure by now Norwalk has had time to prepare for such problems other cities next to us have already experienced. We did pay a lot to have this system in place where are we in prepared planning I wonder?
