Beautiful day for an arts festival. Dancers on the stage at Washington & Madison were amazing. It would take days to see it all.

I think that the organizers of the Sono Arts Festival deserve a huge amount of Kudos for all of their time and effort. They consistently put together a varied, well rounded event, and there is always something new and different to see, and some artist who one feels should be supported. Weather notwithstanding, this years event maintained the highest standards of a festival, and I hope to see many more in the years to come. Sono merchants should be grateful that this festival is run every year, because it does more to promote their businesses, then they do for themselves.

I preferred the first band on Friday night, Tanglevine. Great range of material and what a set of pipes on the lead singer!

I was surprised to hear that they play regularly at the Loft. I guess the indoor smoking ban wasn’t too beneficial for cigar bars and they’ve had to shift to other audiences.

I liked the range of artists this year but clearly the ratio of non-craftspeople to artists is growing. If they can’t maintain the core of true artists eventually the event will start to look like the schlock tents at Oyster Festival. Which by the way is $12 admission now, so the Arts Celebration is a deal in comparison.

Great job by the organizers and sponsors. However while I enjoyed most of our visit to the Arts Festival, what does Basement Finishing systems have to do with an Arts Festival?

Also the African drummers in the parade were great but the parade was very small compared to other years

Its sad one of the best things that has happened in Sono in a long time and only 5 posts. The arts are so important with over 50,000 poeple attending we could only muster up 5 positive things to say.Would of been nice to show some online support to the organizers and praise them for a great job and list the local artists so for those who missed some of them we can still find their stores or display areas around the city.If I’m not mistaken don’t we have an outlet on Haviland st? On Washinton st?

It is their busy season, I know when I had my outlets on the coast once the kids go back to school we lost the walk ins and the tourists, now is the time to push for these vendors so they will be here in the spring winter does a terrible thing on any seacoast community including vendors. The art that I saw this last weekend was worth seeing on line for those who enjoy art and couldn’t make it this weekend.

Thank you Norwalk Arts Commission show me how I can support you when do you meet next time?
