It seems I’m not the only one who enjoys a good drive through Norwalk, and I like the cheesy brakes sound effect, especially over the speed bumps. This youtube clip is form a regular reader, enjoy.

Fun! Maybe someone could do one through South Norwalk, except substitute the tire screech sounds with gunshots.

I don’t know which was funnier - the comment above or the youtube clip. Where is Anonymous from? Gunsmoke? Give me a break!!!!! I LIVE in South Norwalk and I’m still alive. Get the Hell out of DODGE every once in a while, partner….Holy smoke! Yep, every corner has a cowboy and flapping doors to the saloon. Come on by for a whiskey, my treat. Just don’t forget yer holster (& yes I know I spelled “Your” wrong - it was for effect).
Happy trails, Bud, here’s mud in your eye.

Every road in Norwalk needs speed bumps its the only traffic calming thing that was ever done. Now we just talk about new ways and nothing gets done except more speeding.

Speed bumps are a wate of money and not a deterrent to speeding. It all costs alot of money that could be better used to put more officers on the streets and to bring back beat cops.

Is it my imagination or has speeding decreased recently in Norwalk? My street, a regular summer dragway, seems calmer this year. I wonder if gas prices are having an effect?
I can say that more families on bikes are passing by this year. Which indicates to me that they, at least, feel safe.

No, it isn’t your imagination #6 - how can anyone possibly build up speed to even REASONABLE levels without running the risk of damaging their cars. Driving down Route 1 saves you the trouble of a trip to Playland ’cause it’s almost as exciting as a roller coaster. Recently, thank God on a walk rather than driving, in by the way what is considered a very nice neighborhood, near City Hall, I tripped in a hole by the side of the road that you would have lost a Mini Cooper in.

#5 West Hartford has done both hired more officers and created more speedbumps and they are pleased with the results. Now that the development has ruined their city adding crime and traffic they have no options.Trusting Norwalk will take the lead and do the same is only a dream.
Traffic will be a problem when streets are closed and the city has its priorities to do.What about the Haviland parking area? have they hired someone from the city a union company that will come in and do the job right? What about the contract another back room at midnight closing?

Festus is right, y’all. Mellow out. Take a walk but stay out of holes. They make you grumpy.

Holy screechy brakes Batman! I was getting car sick watching that, was my father-in-law driving that car?
-
He was escaping from Hurricane Bertha!
Congratulations on the namesake, BTW. Let’s hope that she follows your lead, lots of furious energy but not hurting anyone!

It is not the first time I went storming through Bermuda! I have an old boyfriend who is a native to the island. I hope she is a quiet storm w/no damage.

Here’s a great song to accompany that video. Too bad it’s not the original version, which was much more manic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ruJ_D-a6QVk
