Do they accept media (floppies, Jaz/Zip disks, etc.)? The link in the first para isn’t working.

    COLUMBIAN FEST-COLUMBIAN FEST?

Has anyone heard boo about this thing? I know Fred Bondi was gung-ho on making it happen regardless if all the paperwork was not in order. I guess the City Council was told by the legal department that all is NOT in order. At least this proves that there are some who still have the residents of this city in mind, and do things correctly as is necessary to protect the city from any legal woes. When the legal department feels that the city cannot be claimed as a party to a legal suit if an injury happens in this park, then it can go forward.

Leave it out of the festivals this year and give them time to realize what the citizens are complaining about. They left Vets Park an absolute disaster last year and despite repeated requests to turn the music down, each time they turned it back up. They obviously do not follow instructions well and need to understand that they cannot destroy our parks without consequences. Ms Ruiz has a very poor attitude and thinks she doesn’t have to comply with procedures. She was very indignant at the Council meeting and refused to believe that anyone would put her off. Perhaps she should go talk to the organizers of the Haitian Festival to see how things are done properly.

TG, thanks for the heads up. This is great. Time to clean out the basement! Yeah!

Here’s the link for more info on electronics recycling:

If it doesn’t work, you can google The Connecticut Resources Recovery Authority.

It doesn’t look like they accept floppies or disks at this event.
