Okay, yesterday was Earthday, and today is warm and sunny. Much too much stuff to do and soak in some sun to be blogging all day. So you are all on your own here to talk abotu whatever else is going on that you need a thread for. Post if you want a single topic thread and I’ll start one up.

Be inspired.

How many here have heard of freecycle or are already freecycling? It’s a website for the unwanted stuff we’re willing to give away rather than going into the local landfill. One man’s trash etc….. Local groups are Norwalk / Stamford
and Westport. It’s all local. Try it!

Hi again, here’s a link to a video clip of Arctic ice.

Freecycle is great. I joined the Stamford group but Westport rejected me :( You have to answer a questionnaire to give them a reason why you want to join. I said I wanted to reduce mindless consumerism. That had to be it, I figure. Westport.

The same thing happened to me! It was a no-win question, then a cryptic rejection mentioning of all things moral standards! I figured they wanted to keep everything within a small clique which is probably why the moderators have been tossed. There’s new management with an open invitation to one and all. The invitation was posted in the Norwalk / Stamford messages.

Good Earth day thread. I had fun with it. I’m only 2 or 3 days behind. But of course every day is Earth day. Now I’m riding my bicycle on home where I don’t turn on my computer unless absolutely necessary!
