As usual by popular request because this has been a day about counting and communication. So this you tube is a shout out to my fave anger management student. Soul Asylum was who you were thinking of, but today is all about counting.

Here are the events surrounding “The BIG Read” program in Norwalk. This year reading Fahrenheit 451

    Saturday, April 5, 10:00am

“The Big Read - Norwalk 2008″ kickoff in the Gen Re Forum at NCC.

The Mayor will be introduced by Barbara Drotman, NCC Dean for Institutional Advancement. The Mayor will open “The Big Read - Norwalk 2008″ and proclaim “Norwalk is Reading” on behalf of the Norwalk Public Library City-wide initiative.

Then he will introduce Larry Reilly, Assistant Fire Chief (who will invite the audience to tour Engine #2, meet the Crew and Sparky the Robot, at noon),

The Mayor will then introduce Les Kozerowitz, who, in turn, will introduce Sam Weller, the author who wrote “The Bradbury Chronicles: The Life of Ray Bradbury.”

Sam will present the Mayor with a signed copy of his book. After his presentation, Sam will be in the Atrium to meet the public for a book-signing.

Concurrent with the above, Ann Tomlinson, Norwalk Public Library, Children’s Librarian, will be holding a Story Time for Kids — firefighters, fire safety, fire-breathing dragons: stories, legends, poetry, crafts for children of all ages.

This will take place in the NCC Art Gallery — adjacent to the Forum — so parents can attend the kickoff while their children are entertained.

    12:00

At noon, the Fire department Engine #2, its crew, and Sparky the Robot will be in the NCC parking lot for all to view and enjoy. We’ll have free plastic fire hats for the kids and adults.

    Sunday:

On Sunday, Sam Weller will be at Barnes & Noble in Norwalk at a book signing co-sponsored by our The Big Read - Norwalk 2008 and the store.

Someone make sure the Mayor gets the big type edition and holds the book right side up. “Farenheit 451″ - now that’s rich. I wonder if anyone explained the story to him. Probably not, considering the Republican efforts to undermine free speech and their evolution into the very embodiment of Big Brother since 9/11.

I wish someone would write a book descibing life after 911 if the govt didn’t do what they had to do to protect use.

“Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” - attributed to Benjamin Franklin

Perhaps if you learned to spell correctly you could find out online that plenty of authors have, most of whom fall into the “Fox News” propagandizing school of writing.

Maybe they should put a spell check on this site to prevent posters like you from picking on something like spelling.DW!
