Dry in East Norwalk! (As is always the case when our pipes are checked, cleaned, and maintained). Kudos to Councilman Richard Bonenfant for taking time on Saturday to stop by and and see how we were doing, and to offer pumps should we flood later in the day. But I sense that he, too, clearly understands the link between lack of maintenance and flooding. He was the only one to stop by or call, and he is not even my district councilman! I do make note of who calls and comes over, I told him. He said “You know, Diane, it makes it easier for me to look you in the eyes at the meetings”. Wow. What a great concept. Conduct yourself in a manner that never leaves you looking away from a resident. Doesn’t even matter at that point if you agree or not. Thanks, Mr. Bonenfant, for giving a damn.
