Gas prices should rise so that more people use public transportation.

Public transportaion is so ineffecient and inexistant.

lets not forget about safety and loss of property on the meadow woodward washingtons st routes.Ipods cell phones and wallets are were the favorites last month. Busses in Norwalk as a rule are safe but last month these reported thefts and assualts happened during the day on busy heavy populated areas of the city.

#2 I guess you dont go into manhattan often. Our future of transportation is public. How many inexperienced teenage drivers are going to die this year on our overcrowded streets. And now lets ask how many will die while riding on a bus?
And yes as the value of the dollar continues to drop, the price of gas will increase. Politicians have been having a tag sale on the country, if you havent been paying attention! -
The problem is American complacency. There seems to be a epidemic attitude that “if I can’t see the problems of the U.S. outside my kitchen window then I don’t care”. I think that people feel helpless against the Bush administration. Our Vice President replied “So what?” when informed by Nightline(?) 60min.(?) that 2/3rds of Americans oppose the War in Iraq. That isn’t democracy. In my humble opinion rising gas prices, weak dollar, and so on is a direct result of allowing our government to do whatever it wants despite the disapproval of we the people. I say we exercise our right, our duty, to PEACEFULLY assemble and clean House. I feel terrible saying this as a war vet but it can’t be helped any longer. I’ve lost my faith in America.
