I’d go but that area is not safe, wouldn’t send any of family there. Where would one park the Haviland lot where assaults and robberies happen all the time? Was this a way to get money from parking last time I looked city hall was free. It seems a lot went into planning this.Anything to discourage attendance.Wonder what the red herring is going to be.

I’ve attended several meetings at Police Headquarters and have parked in the lot next to the facility. While there are specific spots for police vehicles, there have always been plenty of spots for visitors.

Just sitting down now at 8:30 and caught this post. I hope someone attended tonights meeting and will be kind enough to post an update of who, what, where. This is a step in the right direction and hopefully we can continue making these steps to a better more inclusive tomorrow for our Norwalk.

so what made the meeting not work poor PR or its not safe to go there anymore? Would of been nice for Doug Zimmerman to weigh in on Oyster Shell park his name is all over it for a state contact.Sounded like low income housing was the main interest on brownfields.

Michael Moore and scientist Amy Czerwonka
who works for VHB Inc Armed with $400,000 said what? Its great Norwalk found this company to work with there probably not another qualified company in the country Norwalk would of considered to take on the task. Where is the Ethics squad when you need them?

Authorize the Mayor, Richard A. Moccia, to execute an Agreement with (VHB)Vanasse Hangen Brustlin, Inc., to provide professional engineering services to evaluate the City of Norwalk’s existing closed loop system for replacement with a centralized traffic control signal system for a sum not to exceed $8,500.
Account No. 0903 4021 5777 C0234 (this is part of the city’s match to the overall traffic upgrade project)

hos did this project play out?

AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR, ALEX A. KNOPP, TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH VANASSE HANGEN BRUSTLIN, INC. (VHB, INC.) TO PROVIDE CUSTOM APPLICATION PROGRAMMING TO THE EXISTING PERMIT MANAGER 2000 PROGRAM, FOR A SUM NOT TO EXCEED $4,000.

Norwalk can be so lucky to find a company that has an environmental forte to work on our brownfeilds

wonder if there are any complaints on this company or would that defeat the momentum the city is bulding?

Wonder what the red herring is going to be.

    A Greenwich
    woman told police Saturday
night that a man attempted to
pull away her purse while she
was walking in an alley that
    connects the Haviland Street
    parking structure to Washington
    Street.

This was one of many incidents at the Haviland parking lot of recent according to police sources that have been told not to talk to the public about this. Some have not been so lucky as in the one before this incident the same day.

While there are specific spots for police vehicles, there have always been plenty of spots for visitors.

Too bad this woman wasn’t a visitor. :)

ok back to the Brownfeilds sorry simply had to point this out the city lacks news press coverage at times.

can’t blame it on reporters any more not even the Advocate is taking chances anymore and covering the full police reports and logs.

but we still have after all the killings, shootings and robberies we have within the council incidents like..

Moccia: We’ve had a few issues with some articles in The Hour. [Laughter

of course this was out of context taken from this blog.
