At the Monday night BOE meeting, it was announced that Karen Lang the embattled Director of Curriculum is to resign at the end of the school year. The Imperial DOT Deathstar Is Rebel Rell’s Target
February 6th, 2008 · 1 Comment
This is major, major news. Governor Rell has announced that the DOT will be split into two departments, Highways and Mass Transportation, effective Jan 1, 2010. For “gubermint” this is bold, bold, bold. And much needed.

Rell made the announcement Wednesday morning, shortly before she was to unveil her midterm budget adjustments.
Genuario said “The old DOT has become too bureaucratic, too inefficient and too single-minded in its approach to problem solving.”

At 7 p.m. tonight at the Norwalk YMCA, McQuaid and Romano will hold the first organizational meeting of Norwalk Neighbors Helping our Teens, a citywide group that they hope will be based in various parts of the city like neighborhood associations are, in an effort to meet families on their own turf.
