The BOE budget limps through the required hearings and the warm weather is a siren call to soak up the sun. Alas, CES is afoot and the work stuff is suggesting today’s musical ode:

Comments are yours to steer the conversation, and the Kudos to the quick fix on the Water Street street lamp.

Assistant Principals in the Elementary schools? As posted previously, New Canaan administrator:student ratio is lower than Norwalk’s administrator:student ratio. What about New Canaan’s teacher:student ratio? Why does this typically homogeneous community need a lower teacher:student ratio (about 20:1) than Norwalk’s very diverse 24:1. Could it be New Canaan knows what works to help kids learn best? Fewer administrators with more teachers to keep class sizes low enough to directly affect the achievement of ALL students–a proven recipe for success! When will Norwalk figure this out?

Now this makes you proud to be a Norwalker doesn’t it? Thug tells man in Ryan park stop
    praying, then assaults him.

Then the Hour buries it in the news like it didn’t happen.

then we read probably to the dismay of the firefighters the article makes the McCarthy ungrateful towards the hard work of his men so the Hours favorite son on the dept looks better to become the fire chief from chaos.

NORWALK — The Norwalk Fire Department
has received a $77,659 grant from the Federal
    Emergency Management Agency’s Assistance
    to Firefighters grant program

    Since 2003, the department
has received close to $1 million
    in firefighter assistance grants

and then not to mention the hard work and firefighters who did this so the mayor can come in a gloat well the picture was drawn.

So between the Hour and the mayor we all have the impression that the firefighters don’t really deserve a favorable verdict in Stamford.

Nice job in damage control but did anyone tell you the election is over you won the residents lost now stop pushing it in everyones face and run the city like a city not a friggin soap opera.

The firefighters deserve better the residents deserve better the subscribers to the Hour deserves an apology and refund better news in a fortune cookie.

    Abtech whose company’s technology
    sits in 275 South Norwalk
    storm drains, received calls
    from around the country
    Wednesday morning, all with
    inquiries about the city’s “Filter
    Project.”
    On Wednesday, Norwalk
released final results of a study
    on the Smart Sponge Plus,
    which filters pollutants and
    garbage out of stormwater.
    Between installation in October
    2005 and last September, the
    technology prevented 1,200 gallons
of oil, 19 tons of trash and
    13,530 pounds of other contaminants
    from entering the Long
    Island Sound.
    Rink’s company, AbTech
    Industries, based in Scotsdale,
    Ariz., has received calls from
    Milwaukee, Southern California
    and the Gulf Coast from
    interest groups, a city representative
    and a reporter.

    Mayor Richard A. Moccia
said he will talk about the project
    during the annual Conference
    of Mayors in Washington,
    D.C. later this month.
    “It’s been interesting, and
    I’ll be meeting with Lieberman’s
    staff and (U.S. Rep.
    Christopher) Shays’ (R-4) staff
    down there, and talking to
them to see if they’re going to
    be spreading the word across
    the country,” Moccia said.

Mr mayor make sure you go with all the facts and doubts from your own city officials , your going to have to get the EPA to sign off on this and without a service plan its going to be hard to sell anything like this .Your not dealing with those you appointed your dealing with others who will ask questions and want answers and accountability not skeptics with numbers that some doubt.

Isn’t it time for another news reporter to do another article on something they have no clue on what they are writing about?

Thank god for ignorance , not so thankful when Norwalk is told what they need to keep this program going.

This blog is to inform and stimulate dialog and hopefully addressed very serious issues of our constitution, power distribution and quality of life concerns.

There are many sites to network and promote commercial interests, this site is not on of them.

Unless of course promoters care to donate their receipts to the community.
