Call it New Year’s resolutions or spring cleaning, but whatever you think will make the site better is worth talking about. SO post ahoy! BTW, I tweaked the recent comments, now we have 30 comments with a limit of 5 per post which should give us a little diversity on comment activity tracking.

On my screen there is about an inch and a half of greyish brown on both sides of the “content” How about some ads or something? Or perhaps make the content wider? I know it is probably that way for smaller screens or laptops.

I want the most recent comment in a thread to show up on the topic I click on. Rather than all the scrolling all over the place trying to find page numbers to then open up the most recent page then scrolling to the bottomless pit of comments to read the most recent comments. It’s a hassle to follow a thread, and would be easy if when clicking on a topic the recent comments come first. The time it requires on my computer to open and load two pages and scroll through old comments to read the bottom of the page post would be solved if there was a way to put recent comments at the top of the first page and maybe a tiny comment box at the top to not have to scroll to the bottom. But the finding page numbers and opening up two pages to read a comment after a bunch of scrolling is a lot of work. Can the process be simplified? Click on a thread and it takes you right to the most recent page and comment.

    Good work turf!!!!

I like the expansion of recent comments a lor!

Can you put the leave a reply box above the comments and throw in a vertical scroll feature inside the box?

Most have everything at the last page and at the bottom of the page, but most blogs have shorter comments. We Norwalkers like to write a essay for a comment.

Mary, I hate advertisements, but I love clicking on ads on my favorite website. ;) It gives me something to do and I learn about some wonderful companies and products. I saw a Google Adsense book at Borders that I can mail you. My little donation.

a sports section? A classified section?

  • 8 Anonymous // Dec 31, 2007 at 7:45 am

A special filter for Mr. Greenpeace’s comments, even when they’re in anonymous form. Then he can have his own section.

I love Mr. Greenpeace’s rant on issues. The postings make me feel a little more sane! :) Happy New Year to all! Peace Joy and Love for all in the new year.

    Happy New Year

One of my New Year’s resolutions is tell one person a day about Yourct until our police department is staffed correctly and teachers and administrators are held accountable. Good administrators shoulf not be forced into storage rooms.

Thank you for sending me the New Years message. I hardly keep my jaw closed. I have never voted. Registering to vote is resolution of mine. You are all in my prayers.

A SPOT FOR FREEDOM OF SPEECH FOR DISCUSSIONS. WE LOST A LOT OF YOURCT PARTICIPATION AFTER THE NEW WEBSITE STYLE. THE IP SCARE WORKED.

A place for discussion ideas to inform the public about yourct.com.

    Word of mouth was mentioned.

Many local businesses have community bulletin boards.

    Share ideas!

The Constitution State? Corrupticut State. A state political system that legalizes unaccountability of spending. The line by line laws are not constitutional. Taxpayers have a right to know how they spend our money. Would you allow you credit cards to forbid line by line explanations of your bill? No! The public would not tolerate a credit card placing your purchases into a category!

I have a no brainer idea. Business cards are cheap to have printed. Carry a few in your pocket and before you get into you car at the grocery slide a card under the windshield wiper on the car next to you.

  • 18 Anonymous // Jan 1, 2008 at 9:19 am

Spray paint YOURCT on your car!!!!!!!!

    Just Kidding :)

I think there is a significant need to inform the public of the issues without politicians corrupting the forum with partisanship.

A “last comment time” along with the number of comments in thread headers. Sometimes there are so many comments to a single thread or two that recent comments get scrolled of the list in the right column.
