Merry Christmas, Turfie. Thanks so much for posting this. I always liked the song, but I never bothered to really listen to the lyrics. This time I did. I never realized it was a “feel good” story with a happy ending. Also, when I was hijacked to YouTube, I read that the lead singer of the Waitresses died of cancer a while back. Thanks again for the opportunity to listen to the lyrics all the way through, and for the reminder that life is a gift. Love ya, Turf! Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Diwali, Happy Ramandan, Happy Kwanza to the posting community. Hmm. Did I forget anyone? Oh, yes… Happy St. Lucia Day!
