According to today’s Advocate (story not online), Democratic council members are puzzled by the latest salvo from Amanda Brown. Apparently, a functioning Democratic caucus is not in the cards as long as Brown decides to publicly bash her fellow Democrats. The controversy started when Brown sent off an email accusing Democrats of causing her to be “harrassed[sic] and bullied”. She said, “I will not be apart[sic] of any “behind close[sic] door deals” that will ultimately increase the public’s distaste for politics and elected officials, nor will I sell out the trust and responsiblity that was entrusted to me by 6,454 voters.”

(jk) I think that modern society has just been dumbed down enough to not recognize a real death threat. A movie like Airplane! could not be made today, because no one is left to get the jokes.
