Dodd Can’t Drum Up 5000 Signatures for NY Ballot

Yesterday it was reported on political wire that Senator Dodd failed to file for ballot access in New York.

Sen. Christopher Dodd, trailing badly in the polls for the Democratic presidential nomination, failed to file to appear on the ballot in New York. This seems an odd choice for the senator from neighboring Connecticut where his profile is undoubtedly higher than elsewhere in the nation. The New York Democratic party requires 5,000 signatures to appear on the ballot. According to Ballot Access News, just six candidates met that requirement: Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Biden, Richardson, and Kucinich.

Sort of an odd way to say you are serious about campaigning for the presidency. More importantly, this means that all the Democratic political flunkies who’ve been supporting Dodd will now be scrambling to line up behind another candidate. With the Democratic presidential primary on February 5th, it will be interesting to see who backs who.

Dodd’s profile isn’t that high in Connecticut; I don’t know what he’s done for Connecticut and he hasn’t done much, but, curiously, most people don’t know that either.

Dodd for President? Well, he needn’t suffer the sins of his Father’s censure but he’s sure going to have to explain that waitress sandwich that he made with Senator Swimmer.

didn’t Dodd create the program to fund Norwalk Fire and Police? called something like the homeland security act?

Ok so he is a chump , but he did write the grant bill got it passed and Norwalk received how much?

ok so Dick made a political football out of grant money but Dodd did the work sounds familiar for a republican grandstand doesn’t it?

Chris Dodd knows that in order to keep our communities safe, America’s first responders selflessly risk their lives every day, and the unfortunate reality is that too many of our nation’s heroes give their lives on the front lines. No one will ever forget those fire fighters who lost their lives in Charleston, Worcester, or the World Trade Center. Recent deaths in New York and Boston serve as a reminder of the significant sacrifice and commitment first responders make to us all when they go to work every day.

The death of a fire fighter or a police officer is a blow to a whole community. Too many of these deaths are unnecessary and preventable. In a Dodd administration, no first responder will die because they lack the tools or support they need to do their jobs. The Dodd Plan will protect our communities by giving first responders the tools and resources they need to be safe and save lives

now the latest news from Washington

JOHNSTON, Iowa - Republican presidential rivals called for deep cuts in federal spending Wednesday in a debate remarkably free of acrimony, and agreed the reductions they seek need not require painful sacrifice by millions of Americans who rely on government services

we lose no matter who gets elected use the mayors race as a temptlate for disaster win becuase the slug you picked to run was just that a slug. Its a sad day for politics isn’t it?

#2 Wow, a segue from Dodd to Moccia! How desperate a churn for signatures. Dodd may be God -to you, but he still has to explain the waitress sandwich to female voters.

I am tired of Connecticut Senators running for President. While in the race they are not doing their job here and we all suffer. Dodd has no chance to be on the board if he is fifth in home state. That is wrong of him to continue and take monies for the race. It is greedy and pompus.
