Evening to you, Turf! Any chance you can do a separate local education blog? Perhaps that may solve the problem you are and may continue to experience with school issues.
-
Lynne Moore needs to know she is being watched. The Teachers need to know they can speak freely of the situation they find themselves in. What we all need is a committee of BOE & Parents that a teacher can go to when Lynne Moore bullys them. I would think that Lynne Moore would think twice before picking on them. If Lynne Moore would have an honest beef with that teacher is something this committee could determine. It just makes good horse sense(no pun intended) that if the teachers are evalutaed by administrators, such as Moore, then WHO evaluates the Administrator?
-
LOL. Do we get our own blog?
-
The Superintendant of Secondary Education should be evaluating the middle school and high school principles, should he not?

For anybody who is new to this website.
This thread was created, because the last thread is crashing people’s computers. It’s 169 pages in length.
Click here to read if you have a couple of spare hours.

#626 of previous thread, Then either we conduct such yearly “anonymous” surrveys or we form a committee that guarentees no reprisals from bully administrators. We certainly have to come to a consensus on how to proceed. We can’t expect our teachers to continue to teach our children under such stessful conditions, can we?
-
Who is the Superintendent of Secondary Education?
-
Is there such a position #7. I was under the impression Corda dismissed the problems we are now discussing because he is nothing more than an ostrich that has his head imbeded in the 18th hole.
-
#6 Such survey would have to follow the #567 rule. We do not have the right to interfere with the educational process. This is extremely important to follow.
-
6, it would have to be done outside of the school.
-
I agree #9, but to tell Lynne Moore to come down to City Hall to answer questions after school hours about charges or accusations of her bullying teachers by BOE members & Parents should not be interfereing with school teaching time.

#11 We need more cowboys.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

The day cometh.

Well then, we need to round up those that can talk initially. The teachers are not yet comfortable to say anything yet without assurances that they will not recieve reprisals. So the ones who can start the ball rolling are the parents. I would say that one or several better yet, get together, speak to Bruce Mellion of the Norwalk Federation of Teachers Union or to BOE members first. They should definitely attend a BOE Meeting and state their worries about what they have read here on these threads. It will be interesting to see the BOE discuss this matter, especially now that they have New members who have run on a platform of open discussion. This could be the best way to start the dialog of addressing all this nonsence and more importantly, a begining to the end of it.
-
#7 I believe it’s Tony Dadonna.
-
If Mr. Giuliano or one, or several, on that list of 20 would come to a BOE meeting and state the problem they had or are having, that would open the flood gates to this problem Corda, Moore & Company have been trying to supress. Lets get it on the table.

Dear Turfgrrl, as you do not yet have a thread for people to correct misinformation posted during campaign season, I’d appreciate it if you’d allow me to post my correction here. I want it known that I never conducted a telephone poll. In fact, I was the only one of the four District D candidates who did not do robo-calls. I am not criticizing the other candidates; considering Doug Hempstead and Kelly Straniti won, their decision to make robo-calls appears quite politically savvy. I happen to hate receiving robo-calls, so it was important to me that any calls made on my behalf come directly from me or from one of my volunteers. I would expect a group that prides itself on ferreting out the truth to at least listen for the “approved by…” message at the end of a call before critiquing me repeatedly for it. As for the other misinformation, it was far too amusing to bother correcting! Kind regards, Anna Duleep

Please link to the thread of misinformation you have mentioned. We welcome anyone to post corrections to information. I am distressed that your post is about a different thread. Would you please link to the correct thread and posts? I would link to it myself, yet I do not know what thread you are posting about and I have read all 626 posts in the previous thread. None of them refer to robo-calls. Will someone please correct her post?
Thanks

#22 I suspect she didn’t read the link on post #5 before posting. I don’t know what she is talking about either.
-
I meant #21 (not #22).
-
WHAT? You are posting on the wrong thread.
-
The problem with a new thread is people won’t read the beginning of the thread. Turfgrrl, is it possible to have page numbers at the bottom or top of the page and say 100 posts for each page?
-
We’ve been hijacked.

jk

Ms. Duleep, We appreciate your concern for correct information, however this thread is a discussion about bullying behavior in our schools. We are mostly parents and teachers. This is not a political thread.

Speaking of getting hijacked, lets get back to the business of taking our schools back from the administrative highjackers shall we. I thought about this all morning and I think the best way for all this to be brought out into the open & discussed would be through a parent who has had a problem with the administration at West Rocks, or any other school for that matter, to speak at a BOE meeting and put it on the table. Once it is up for discussion, all of the points made on these threads can be brought into the fold. This seems to me to be the best way to acknowledge the elephant in the room that has avoided and supressed for so long.
