The debate was quite informative. Although only a few questions were allowed due to time constraints, audience members were able to get a good feel for each of the candidates, both their stands on issues and their personalities.

The truly sad thing was the low turnout. Only about a dozen people chose to attend. At least two of them (maybe more) were family members of the candidates. Three of the others were board members of WNNA.

This was the very best place to compare the candidates head-to-head and almost no one cared. I suppose that means that all is well in District E, but it’s a disappointing statement about the state of our democracy.

I don’t think no one cares - it’s a shame there’s not better reporting in the local papers. By the time the District forums were held it was quite late on a week night.
