The Brien Mcmahon High School Marching band came over to the Roton school to join both the Roton and Ponus bands and perform America the Beautiful opening the Celebration of sound on the High school field.

McMahon band members took the time to coach the little guys and girls, a great spirit of cooperation and mentoring. They all walked to the McMahon from the Roton for the opening.

The Band Leader at BMHS is a really nice guy. He is a NHS graduate and loves Norwalk. Ron has done wonders for the BMHS music department. You are right this is an awesome, terriffic, wonderful thing.

what made it so nice to see them on the Roton field divide up and see the older ones coach the younger ones, and then after about an 1/2 hour they all formed a tight knit formation and and played through a practice run, it was in my estimation perfect for the dry run even got a an aplause from the 2 dozen or so parents there.

Then the walk to the Mcmahon up the street to the driveway I myself never seeing anything like this didn’t know these kids were going right onto the field no stops no hesitation in formation and then played to the crowd it was awesome these band directors deserve a thankyou as well they did a great job,It was a nice opening for the event.

maybe for those who haven’t read yet or will see the articles on the Marching Bears who took first place in this weekends competition at Stamford High school. This was the third consecutive competition this year they have won,,,

With all the positive I don’t spin maybe someone else can give them a congrats also,,they and the parents read this blog also I know it would be nice if they saw it here as well..

I know its not my normal rant,,but I do get out once in a while and support the city or its organizations, so because I compliment them doesn’t anyone has to now accuse them of using parking spaces for nothing.

Good Job Bears , see you on the next one!

any pictures of the band and the director?
