Norwalk: Mosquito Management Issues
September 14th, 2007 · 2 Comments
The People’s Republic of Rowayton has been invaded by West Nile carrying mosquitos. It would seem likely that South Norwalk then, also either is or is about to be invaded as well as East Norwalk and the rest of the Norwalk. The Norwalk virus is however, a no show.
Mayor Richard A. Moccia said he heard about the virus-carrying mosquitos late Thursday afternoon.
“They were trapped on the grounds of Rowayton School,” Moccia said Thursday evening. “We’ve sprayed. The state has put out recommendations about putting on long clothes. Basically, just be careful and take the precautions that the state has recommended.”
