Norwalk: The Miserable 25 T-Shirt Is Now Available

Be the first on your block to get one, or just a regular old logo t-shirt. I’ll see what demand is and if there’s enough interest I’ll create some new designs, and perhaps go about hooking up with a local shirt maker. Cafepress makes it easy to have one-off shirts at reasonable prices. Approximately $5 of the purchase goes to supporting the site.

I may be considered one of them , I enjoy Norwalk and its people and all that it has to offer..I do ask a lot of questions and ask for accountability try to put a respectfull spin on things, and above all respect others who disagree.

truth is Katie we for the most part try stop porkbarrel spending, make the good old boys clubs go away, elimanate wastefull spending, uncover who is making on lurcrative contracts, show where education, politics, running of the parks could be done better to serve all not just some.

You will find others who have been waiting in line to make money on land , building contracts, parking police and fire contracts inherited that still need accountability in the workplace and dept heads who simply have outlived their productivity. It effects unions and organized labor pools , prevents some from making extra money and ones from satying and not doing thier job, so if its threat its real life isn’t it?

Some of us don’t like golf courses on land deemed sacred, some of us don’t want the poor, elderly the disadvataged taken for a ride, some would like to see more help go to the charities the churches the kids centers..

some of us want to cruise the Norwalk river and not walk accross it.

quick side note there always asking for donations at the homeless shelter simple things like cans and clothing we all try and help..we all get behind others who donate their time hold drives that gives them nothing in compensation but gives back ten fold becuase thay are helping others ,,a concept most take on when passion fuels a cause.I gave today btw

we the for the most part want to see improvements for all , but to have us wear a shirt so what someone can berate us is like having a traget on the back of the shirt to those that disagree.Yes thare are others who get nasty when you get to close to their dish full of food.

Simple resolves turns into lawyer court abritration battles that cost us money, in the name of what pride, self indulgence, ect at our expense.Work for the city and be asked where do you bank, and now we read where childhood memories are snuffed out by a machine without the decency to do it by the book the same one most of us has to abide by.

Let not forget the children their safety their health , parent or not kids are still a priority and the merchants who sometimes need support over simple things like road closures to maintain a business a very stressful position to be in in any city.

making sure the fire the police the DPW get what they need and not play to any administration becuase they can.t rock the boat,,we rock boats all the time and suffer nothing but insults if we get to close..its a city and needs to be run on a 24/7 basis.

Ok so some of the 25 are here for other reasons beats me why anyone wants to come out and offer good ideas so someone else cam take them for themselves, or write about them but in all if you agree its a great posting, if you disagree they are not an idiot they just don’t think like you.Life goes on..

No one can simply say they are in charge they will do the right thing so let not ask questions lets simply stay silent until the past is unearthed and you find the tax rate increases because there is no more money from Peter to pay Paul.

I’m just here to rant, and sometimes see where my tax dollars are spent..yes that makes me miserable to think my money gets wasted once in a while,,but why are you others hear they do say misery enjoys company so why not get a shirt also..

I’ll have on of those in xtra large it will be a nice addition on the rack next to my Dead shirts.

    Mr.Greenpeace,

My suggestion was not meant in any bad way. And, you certainly have alot to say. I think you would find that by wearing these t-shirts around town, many people would shake your hands and offer congratulations for all the effort you all spend giving us your opinion.

I also think from TG’s point of view this definetely starts to ‘brand’ the blog site which a very good decision on her part.

And, who knows, the miserable 25 will start to become water cooler talk…and from there, well, use your imagination.

Too, too much blah, blah, blah from Mr. G
I still refuse to read his blather. Somebody stop him!

  • 12 AnonAgain // Aug 14, 2007 at 8:47 am

Hey, 11…find your own moniker! Especially if you want to attack my good friend Mr. G. I stand proud as one of the Miserable 25…

Hey 12 - A teabag moment for you:

Can you imagine the look on the faces of the Common Council members if a large segment of the audience was wearing the “25″ T Shirts. I think for once they might be “scared straight.”

  • 15 Mr Greenpeace // Aug 14, 2007 at 1:46 pm

to Katie sorry if it sounded directed towards anyone,,Its the way I write sometimes, I like your water cooler thought it paints a great picture

your right about the other its a great suggestion,,

Two of my professors that I have stayed in touch with over the years sends back my emails one corrects them she is a hoot,,another simply sends them back to do again..I leave myself to be attacked but English was never a subject I did well in…our kids go to their mother,

Hey 13: I for one am glad Abe didn’t stay quiet. We might be living in the Confederate States of America right now if he had. Of course, you’d still have slaves to run errands for you, so that’s something, isn’t it?

  • 17 AnonAgainAlso // Aug 14, 2007 at 3:07 pm

    16. When intelligent conversation fails you can always play the race card. Is that all you have?

  • 18 Anonymous // Aug 14, 2007 at 5:40 pm

My friend, you are a prime example of the pot… oops, musn’t give you a reason to accuse me of racism.

  • 19 AnonAgainAlso // Aug 14, 2007 at 8:29 pm

I am not the only person who thinks Mr. G goes on and on and on. He needs to cut it short so that the good little morsels he wants to express don’t get caught in the deluge of unnecessary words. He knows this but seems helpless to stop himself. Since he is your friend, perhaps you can make the point to him. I’m not a fool, just someone who would like to read some intelligent, cogent postings without wading through all the excess.

  • 20 Aunt Bertha // Aug 14, 2007 at 9:52 pm

Some times Mr. Green peace makes sense and is a little shorter on his postings. Everyone needs to vent from time to time.
