So today’s picture is below, and you’ll have to be fairly specific as to where you think it is. Meanwhile for more friday open thread type seasoning, and because its August, we ‘ll run another contest like substance thread. This theme is themes, or more specifically, pick a music theme for each mayoral candidates. You have three candidates; Dick Moccia, Walter Briggs, and Scott Merrel. Song name and artist is fine, if you find a youtube clip of the song, that’s even better. Enjoy the activities or rant about the news in the comments.

This one is for all of Norwalk’s self-serving politicians, especially the cronies on the Common Council: “We Do What We’re Told” by Peter Gabriel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiyl6mHVL6A

  • 8 Anonymous // Aug 10, 2007 at 1:08 pm

#7- I think you’re wrong about that one. Apparently you don’t know some of the council members

  • 9 Anonymous // Aug 10, 2007 at 1:34 pm

7 was referring to Miklave and his band of bobbleheads.

  • 10 Anonymous // Aug 10, 2007 at 1:47 pm

Nah, I was referring to Lil Mikey and his group of “CoffeyCrats”

  • 11 Anonymous // Aug 10, 2007 at 1:51 pm

Well Kevin at least the rest of the council can figure out how to vote without passing notes.

  • 12 Anonymous // Aug 10, 2007 at 1:56 pm

The only people on the common council that do what they are told are the ones who chair committees. That would be…….

  • 13 Anonymous // Aug 10, 2007 at 2:10 pm

No Republicans chair any committees and have minimal representation.

You can say all the crude, insulting comments about the Mayor as often as you want. It shows the low level of your intelligence, and your perverted minds. But one thing that you can not change, no matter how crude you get. He is the Mayor and you are not, and he will be again and you all know it. You lower the level of legitimate debate on any issue by your rude, crude and offensive statements. But really, you help by rallying his supporters to work evven harder. Keep up the good work and keep a smile on your face, Wonderful World is a great song, and reflects an optimism about life, unlike the miserable 25. P.S. 65%

Turfy you are tricking us. The manhole cover says bridgeport.

  • 16 Norwalk Teacher // Aug 10, 2007 at 3:28 pm

  • 17 Anonymous // Aug 10, 2007 at 3:28 pm

Looks like the sidewalk outside the Norwalk “Museum.”

  • 21 Mr Greenpeace // Aug 10, 2007 at 4:00 pm

I enjoy being one of the 25 we use numbers facts and sometimes lack of performance to drive our point home.It makes us work just as hard to make sure the forgotten, the disadvantaged and the ones who hurt get as well the help they deserve never mind the regular taxpayer.

Just recently we read an article by Breslow covering the police dept members giving back to the community it was awesome to see what they give back. They work just as hard on and off the streets.

The fire dept does the same they also work just as hard for the community so if you think your the only ones who work hard that shows yet another problem with city hall and the elected few that defend the position based on what they do.

Of course I only speak for myself never would say anything that would lower the intelligence of anyone but myself. So If I can help the mayor win just let me know where else other than Norwalk is he running where he stands a chance and be miserable there too.

clearly a rant with no sense responding to another I find as sensless

  • 22 L'arlequino // Aug 10, 2007 at 4:07 pm

Hey, Mr. Greepeace - I am proud to stand with you as one of the “25″. Wouldn’t that look good on a t-shirt?

  • 23 Dem Boyz // Aug 10, 2007 at 4:15 pm

The mayor’s race is so boring! Its like watching paint dry- Moccia will win-because he put all the democrats to sleep.

  • 24 Mission Impossible // Aug 10, 2007 at 4:18 pm

Here’s my pick for Walter Briggs:

Nine Inch Nails - The Hand That Feeds

  • 25 anonymous // Aug 10, 2007 at 4:19 pm

I think Walter Briggs put everyone to sleep. By the way where is his statement regarding his grandfather that was promised at our Ward B meeting ?

  • 26 Da Boyz // Aug 10, 2007 at 4:24 pm

Kool & The Gang - Rags To Riches

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9UnCxjJVKw

    Moccia Style

  • 27 Anonymous // Aug 10, 2007 at 4:26 pm

The race-baiters are back. Guess pushing the race button always works when you have nothing else to contribute.

  • 28 ANonymous // Aug 10, 2007 at 4:27 pm

We will find out whether most people feel the mayor does a good job in november. If he wins in a predominantly democrat city, you know that most citizens agree with him.

  • 29 Watchdog // Aug 10, 2007 at 4:36 pm

Richard Moccia – Frank Sinatra’s The Second Time Around

Walter Briggs - Ozzy Osborne’s Shot in the Dark

Dr. Scott Merrill - So Messed Up by the Damned

  • 30 Mr Greenpeace // Aug 10, 2007 at 4:36 pm

unless we provide armored truck escorts to the polls so they can vote in South Norwalk will it be a fair election.
