Norwalk: SoNo Arts Festival Today Open Thread

The ongoing introspective on racism in the Norwalk Fire Department will not be on display at the SoNo Arts festival because there is no “apparent” racism, and so a couple of diversity classes here, a few platitudes here, and things go pretty much as they have been. Investigations that lead to no concrete actions items are a waste of time. Recommendations without deadlines are a waste of time.

Speaking of which, Corda apparently is capable of sending a letter out saying that no accounts for Bruce Morris’ hours. I will be scanning it and posting it up. So much for coming out with an official policy. Seems like Corda needs a little more fire lit under him to do the right thing.

Today will be hot and muggy, so prepare accordingly to wander through SoNo and enjoy the festivities.

All this and more in the comments.

Corda must have a teflon butt, how much of a flame do you need to light Turfgrrl before he gets it?

Wondered around Sono a bit, but my suggestion is wait until the sun goes down. Lots to see but in this heat you kind of rush through. Great entertainment and music and GUESS WHAT? You can’t hear it 3 miles away.

It seems the Rev. Bolden will not let this go - she needs to prove her point, right or wrong. I am sure we have not heard the end of it yet.

I have seen more racism on the Common Council than I have in the NFD.

Poster number 4 is correct. There are several democrats on the council such as Matt Miklave who have opposed many things that support this city’s minority community such as low income housing, a living wage, and union contracts. How bad is that coming from the party that is supposed to protect us in south norwalk.

Has anyone read the “religion in politics” story in the hour today? Too bad the reporter didn’t ask those questions of the Dem leader G.Wells. She has absolutely no use for religion (in or out of politices) in any way shape or form. Once again a real story missed. Fortunate for the other dems she was not asked.

Bruce Morris is into religion about himself. Dems don’t respect people with religious convicions and scrape up these imposters to cover it up.

No, Dems don’t respect phoneys who spout religion to justify living absolutely contrary to Jesus’s teachings.
