This Sunday kicks off the Sunday series of jazz and classical concerts at Cranbury park. From the Hour:

“This concert series at Cranbury Park is an attempt to expand on the concert series that (the parks department) does at Calf Pasture,” said Becki Christopherson, chairwoman of the Norwalk Advisory Commission on the Arts and Culture. “We are very excited about this opportunity to highlight our local talent! We have some amazing musicians participating, and these free concerts will be a fabulous way to spend a summer Sunday afternoon.”

The concert series will get under way this Sunday at 2 p.m. with music by a flute quartet of Norwalk Symphony Orchestra. Performing will be Jane Shelly, assistant principal flute and newly appointed executive director of the orchestra; Nina Crothers, principal second violin; Suzanne Corey-Sahlin, principal viola; and Gunnar Sahlin, principal cello, according to Christopherson.
