Here’s a photo submitted by a reader. Your job is to guess the location and what the photo is of. My job is to figure out what facsinating prize I should get for making this an ongoing contest. So we’re in trail mode here, and let me know what you call think about whether this is a good feature or not.

On the side of Oyster Shell Park? I like the idea. Gives the blog a different twist, not just political. Can’t wait to hear what prize you come up with! Good luck to everyone.

I am with Katie, I think it is Oyster Shell Park.
Yes, I think it is a good idea.

  • 3 marital woes // Jul 28, 2007 at 11:24 am

I think it’s Moccia’s fake address while he lives at the Norwalk Inn…

  • 4 rrrrrr // Jul 28, 2007 at 11:29 am

No, it’d the lastest dem plan for affordable housing on west ave.

  • 5 Ralph Gilford // Jul 28, 2007 at 12:28 pm

Sure looks like it is on a landfill next to the thruway. Possibley in Oyster Shell park.

If I win, I will take the Mercedes Benz 600 Convertable in White.

  • 6 Vet Park Junkie // Jul 28, 2007 at 12:33 pm

Given the vegetation, incline, and light post in the background, I’d also go with Oyster Shell Park. However, Turgrrl asked where and what. For the what, I’ll take a guess it is an artifact of our amphitheater.

So… Does TGrrl get to give herself a 600 Benz?

  • 7 Ralph Gilford // Jul 28, 2007 at 12:51 pm

Hey! I think you hit the nail on the head. It is the prototype of the Amphitheater to be built in Vets park.

It was also built without a Master Plan.

  • 8 Ralph Gilford // Jul 28, 2007 at 1:14 pm

I Know, it is the Military Elevator that takes you to the Toxic Test Laboratory, that is 150 feet below Oyster Shell Park. WAIT NO, MAYBE it is under Veterans Park.

It looks like a room with a window and a front outdoor light… are there dials and gizmos for the waste water treatment plant inside? Or is there a hole in the roof for a state police speed trap for I-95? Still in Oyster Shell Park, does it have to do with electricals in xonnection with the Yankee Doodle Brodgie? How many guesses do we get?

  • 10 site fan // Jul 28, 2007 at 3:28 pm

I think it’s Oyster Shell park and its a construction office.

  • 11 Anonymous // Jul 28, 2007 at 3:46 pm

It’s the new Tourism Office for the Department of Wreck n’ Parks Commercialization. Currently staffed by the local homies, you can see their tags. I think the City put them to work decorating the area in the absence of any oversight, or maybe we’re seeing the latest from the Maya’s Commish on Cultcha. Goes well with the outdoor sculptcha there, dontcha think?

  • 12 Anonymous // Jul 28, 2007 at 3:47 pm

I think the winner should get Bada Bing Bondi’s job.

  • 13 Mr Greenpeace // Jul 28, 2007 at 4:05 pm

can’t have anything in it of value,,they don’t cut the grass around it and it looks like no one has been in it,,maybe some agent orange around it will kill the weeds.

Preventive fire suppression would be a good idea unless its insured then some one can go urinate on it and we can have two.

Or is that only with police cruisers?

  • 14 home on the range // Jul 28, 2007 at 4:20 pm

It’s Gail Wall’s historic campaign head quarters.

  • 15 Katie // Jul 28, 2007 at 5:20 pm

As a prize I prefer the BMW 700 series! Is it an old traffic control box? Or perhaps, the sprinkler system.

  • 16 Anonymous // Jul 28, 2007 at 6:28 pm

Hey, Kidz! Why don’t we all submit Mystery Fotos of Norwalk? Great way to bring attention to all those places the City would rather not talk about!

  • 17 Mr Greenpeace // Jul 28, 2007 at 6:34 pm

like the bridge on MLK blvd in the morning when 100’s of guys hand around for work,,odd how those trash cans get emptied before our own parks ones do,,or are there any in the parks,,that would make a good picture all four trash cans and none in other places,,who pays taxes us or them?

cities are now making their police officers marshals so the can arrest illegals,,no not all create crime just most of them according to FBI figures and Stamford police say.

  • 18 longtimer // Jul 28, 2007 at 7:14 pm

Oyster Shell park and its something to do with monitoring pollution.

  • 19 nwlknative // Jul 28, 2007 at 7:33 pm

Sure looks like a storage box at Oyster Shell park. Probably housing another “great” piece of artwork. Sure isn’t the electrical box for the proposed ampitheater because no electricals were installed - someone forgot that shows need electricity.

  • 20 i told you so-not! // Jul 28, 2007 at 8:47 pm

I think its the place where the Board of Ed hold their secret meetings. The problem is the Superintendent and all his administration cannot find it. They don’t live in Norwalk or is that CT!
Hey Turf Girl why don’t you post pictures of all the schools and see if DR. Corda and crew can name them.

  • 21 Norwalker // Jul 28, 2007 at 8:55 pm

It’s probably Oyster Shell Park electrical closet for the theater sound and lights. But there was never any electricity run there.

  • 22 P.O\'d Parent // Jul 28, 2007 at 9:42 pm

HA HA LOL #20 I Love your post…sad part is it’s probably true!

  • 23 Anonymoose // Jul 29, 2007 at 9:03 am

Perhaps the trailer on county street that contains the pieces of that “historic” house that will never get re-constructed.
I just tuned in today - lots of typos turffie :)

  • 24 anonymous // Jul 29, 2007 at 9:07 am

Is it where Alex KNopp is keeping all of the 50 boxes of records he took from city hall?

  • 25 Norwalk4Life // Jul 29, 2007 at 9:19 am

Where ever it is Parks & Rec should get there and cut the grass especially today which is Sunday to earn OT. I have seen them many times before cutting grass on Sunday can anyone explain that one?

  • 26 Anonymous // Jul 29, 2007 at 11:22 am

Hey, it’s part of the City’s “Art Under the Bridge” program at Heritage Park. Here’s an extract from the City’s website at http://www.norwalkct.org/HeritagePark/artunder.html :

“The artist… developed a passion for the alternative artform called “grafitti,” an interest that continued into high school.

There you go. Pick up your spray cans at City Hall and have at it!

  • 27 Jacqueline Vogt // Jul 30, 2007 at 8:27 am

Now I know where I saw that. It’s the entrance to the new Men’s Club, for the guys who live under the Stroffolino Bridge.

  • 28 gfaux // Jul 30, 2007 at 5:17 pm

I think it is Oyster Shell Park and this is where they check for the methane gas that comes from the site!! that’s why we are putting a park above it.

someting called time exposure vs life

  • 29 UBChillin // Jul 30, 2007 at 5:56 pm

It’s one of Miklave’s demo units of workforce housing. You could fit a lot of landscapers in there. They probably ain’t voting Republican. That’s the Master Plan.

  • 30 Anonymous // Jul 30, 2007 at 9:51 pm

It’s the repository of all of the complaints cleansed from the curator’s personnel file. It is located in front of the entrance to Dick Cheney’s undisclosed location.
