Ah, look at this hot of the pixelator press release:

Rep. Bruce Morris – (D-Norwalk) and Rep. Chris Perone – (D-Norwalk) will join House Majority Leader Christopher Donovan (D-Meriden) and Norwalk Superintendent Salvatore Corda, on Monday, May 14th at the Superintendent’s Office at 9:30 and will then travel to Kendall Elementary School for a fact-finding tour of Norwalk’s public schools and for a special meeting about the unique and pressing needs of Norwalk’s families and students.

“Norwalk’s school system is in dire need of additional funding and I believe it should fall within the definition of an urban school district like other major Connecticut cities with respect to the education cost-sharing formula,” Rep. Morris said. “Our school system is not being supported equally within the definition of urban school district.”

“I am very pleased that the Majority Leader has taken the time to tour Kendall Elementary School with us,” Rep. Perone said. “I hope that he will be able to see and understand the unique challenges that our district faces and help us find a way to work with the leadership in Hartford to find solutions.”

“I look forward to visiting Norwalk students, teachers and school officials,” Majority Leader Donovan said. “It is important to learn about the unique challenges of districts like Norwalk as we seek solutions to the state’s education funding crisis.”

This is good and in wake of Stamford exercising the same junket tour a good thing to do. I hope that they also provide plenty of charts and figures of the demographic makeup of the schools, the districts etc. A trip through Roodner Court might show that Norwalk is not all gold coast mcmansions.

Looks like Cafero’s proposal would benefit everyone

The Democrats’ plan would increase Norwalk’s grants from $8.7 million to $9.2 million. While raising taxes

But it still would not match Rell’s offer to boost Norwalk’s education grants to $11.4 million

Republican House plan to increase school aid to Norwalk to $10.5 million.
House Republicans, led by Majority Leader Lawrence Cafero, R-Norwalk, last week put forth a plan they said could provide millions in school aid without raising taxes.

Who will show Dr. Corda and Mr. Morris how to get to Kendall School? Also, will Dr. Corda have to miss a conference for this meeting? Will Mr. Morris have to miss a vote in the legislature?

Maybe the People at Kendall could put on a little show for their guests. What should we call it?
    Here are a few suggestions:

    “The Sting”
    “Bambi Meets Godzilla”
    “Exodus”
    “The Odd Couple”
    “The Grapes of Wrath”
    “The Grinches Who Stole Norwalk”
    “Lost in Space”
    “Gone in 60 Seconds”
    “Vanishing Point”
    “Crime and Punishment”
    “Dumb and Dumber”

Weigh in with your own wit: tragedy? comedy? farce?
Just remember “…the play’s the thing.”

#2 HA Ha LOL Very good. Your comment is funny, but its also sad because it’s true. As the ol’ saying goes “I don’t know weather to laugh or cry”.

Concerned Citizen and Anon #3 your comments are proof you do not care about education. The “Show Us the Money Tour” is starting to take effect.

At least Reps. Morris and Perone are trying. That more effort then Cafero.

    13 years of nothing!

    Dump Cafero

You would think they would take him to a school that hasn’t been rehabed instead of Kendall which is like a new school.

    You mean like Jefferson?
