Not so long ago when I was at the Trumbull mall I noticed this great exhibit of sculptures made entirely from canned food. Not being inquisitive enough, I simply marveled how cool it was and that was that. Today I found out what was behind all those canned masterpieces. The AIA CT, more formally known as A Chapter of The American Institute of Architects, has organized this event to raise awareness architecture in the schools. Chris Perone – (D-Norwalk) will join House Majority Leader Christopher Donovan (D-Meriden) and Norwalk Superintendent Salvatore Corda, on Monday, May 14th at the Superintendent’s Office at 9:30 and will then travel to Kendall Elementary School for a fact-finding tour of Norwalk’s public schools and for a special meeting about the unique and pressing needs of Norwalk’s families and students.

So the Police conducted another undercover operation and lo and behold they found nekkid women at the tranquility spa. From The Hour:
Police spokesman Lt. Paul Resnick said an undercover officer entered the business and was solicited for a sex act by a female employee. The officer then gave a signal, and a team of officers came in to make arrests and search the premises.
Special Services officers investigate vice crimes. They have raided the Tranquility location numerous times for allegedly operating as a brothel, most recently on April 27.

I’m sure the teachers here will weigh on on this one. But on the surface its nice to see a local resident get the job. From The Hour:
Norwalk resident Suzanne Brown Koroshetz is stepping down as principal of Stamford High School to take the top post at Brien McMahon in her hometown.
The Norwalk Board of Education approved Brown Koroshetz’s appointment as principal of Brien McMahon High School in a special meeting Thursday morning. She will take over July 1 for Joseph Rodriguez, who announced his retirement in February after 10 years as principal.
