Tonight our normally scheduled programming is being replaced by a a very special post from satire.tv

From TV Guide: Party of Five, the Nowalk-outers ask for a very special public therapy session to cope with the impending drastic cuts to the BOE credit card. An unexpected visit from reality (Count D. Votes) leads to responsible spending. First of two parts.

As the Common Council prepares for the annual Spring Fling Festival, Matt Miklave parachutes in to make an emergency theatrical appearance, but there’s tension in the air between him and the rest of the council. Meanwhile, Carvin Hilliard waits to hear news after an interview with Galen Wells; and the town is up in arms when Kevin Poruban uses the entire festival budget to build a hay-bale maze.

When Sal Corda stresses out over life after the budget meeting, Gwenn Briggs takes him out for a day of shopping and eating. Then the Mayor invites the entire council to to join him in an evening of karaoke night where they join together to sing “We are family”.

That concludes our emergency satire moment. Regular blogging about the budget process will resume

Reminds me of the deathbed words attributed to any number of actors: “dying is easy; comedy is hard.” Stick to your day job, kid.

    lighten up indiga
I have yet to see you say anything light or funny so cut out the criticism. At least turfgrrl can amuse herself and a few of us in the process.

Gee…I thought I’d been pretty witty on a number of occassions…this being one of them. Guess we’re all prone to take ourselves a bit seriously lately, eh?

Yes, let’s all get some perspective.

    Indiga,

Why were you referring to your husband yesterday. We all know that Tod Bryant is your husband and the president of the norwalk preservation trust.

Everyone knows that you are upset that your husband incorrectly handled the Fodor Farm Committee and 193 East Avenue matter.

I cannot believe that you would also welcome a return of Knopp.

    You also said:

“And about the “Bill Kraus project”… Norwalk’s zoning makes it almost impossible to build a preservation project that is economically feasible without variances. Current zoning encourages the teardown. Norwalk Presrvation Trust has submitted suggestions and models about zoning incentives from other CT towns to P&Z. I keep hoping they’ll act on it. They’ve taken some really positive steps in neighborhood zoning recently.” (It is amazing you support giving away millions of dollars to your friends just because they use the word “historic”, truly amazing and a true conflict of interest)(also, it is great that you support your husband’s initiatives, as ill founded as they may be)

Frank Esposito was a tremendous mayor and knopp did not hold a candle to him. I wish sometimes that he would come back and run for re-election, since even Richard Moccia is liberal compared to Frank.

Good job Turffie, The Hour and Advocate had no passion in their description, boring! You gave us the full flavor and blow by blow. The papers are so dull that it is no wonder no one attends public meetings - they make it sound so cut and dry, really dry.
    Keep up the good work.
