Norwalk Board of Education Blog

Michael Geake ’s 2008 Campaign Blog

As I find about more Norwalk area blogs, I’ll post them. I’ll also provide a handy list somewhere in the site too. It’s always good to stay well informed.

Use this as an open thread too.

Corda Tries To Justify His Budget Demands

In The Hour and on his new blog, Corda fails miserably in an attempt to use reason instead of scare tactics to justify his excessive demands for more tax dollars to maintain his empire. I’ve reproduced Corda’s so-called justification below. I have al…

Evenin, TG! My thanks to you… I just checked out the BOE blog, and to my dismay, I discovered it does not invite comments. This may be an oversight on my part, but if not.. what’s your take on this, Turfie?

Hiya Watchdog. I’m thrilled that the BOE is taking the time to communicate via a blog. I’d like for them to open it up to comments, but then they’d be obligated to respond, and well, they don’t have a history of doing that well.

California Yankee and Turfgrrl, Thank you for the information and the decoding of the so-called facts that Corda has stated about the budget request. We are not Bridgeport, Danbury or Stamford…we have different needs and I can’t stand when Corda compares aplles to oranges. Wednesday night should be an interesting meeting at town hall all should go to hear for themselves what the people want. Why cut the sports for the students that may have NO other incentive to go to class other than they need a good grade point average to play a sport. Get rid of the dead weight that is pulling us down and that does not affect the people who are learning or teaching. And as for the administration - they still do not have an assessment of their preformance, while some of the administrators treat their teachers in a less than professional manner when observing them. Who gives Corda his job assessment?

Right on, #4! The board is responsible for giving Corda his evaluation. Basically, Dr. C. controls their thinking so he basically controls his own assessment. How can the city restore check and balance to this board of sleepers?

Maybe there should be a vote of confidence from the faculty and staff from the city?

  • 7 anonymous // Mar 26, 2007 at 9:07 pm

I would imagine that would be a vote of NO confidence

#7. You are right. I am tired and sometimes the typing at this hour gets punchy.
