When our legislative leaders in Hartford scratch that last obscure campaign issue off their checklists, they are faced with the things they all just wish would go away, property taxes, health care and education. It’s not that they don’t think these issues are important, they are. It’s just that the solutions to these large problems are not ones that the politically craven can stomach.
Everyone jumps on the old Education bandwagon but no one wants to ask the hard hitting question of if the state is losing population, it is, why are education costs spiraling out of control?
