The NPD has been working with the FBI all along, this is like the third or fourth major case that has made it into the media attention, the others being the string of bank robberies a few years ago, a major sting operation that netted 22 people -not all from Norwalk - a few years ago, a young teenager who left the state with a unrelated male safely returned to her family last year; and the seizure of some weapons illegally shipped through UPS last year. And those are just the ones I personally remember. I know there are more. Good job, NPD! Thank you! Those kinds of investigations take a lot of patience. You know they did a great job when they got guilty pleas from all those people, without going to trial. Even the toughest gang members can't fight the charges when there are all those pictures and voice recordings. I'm sure it is hard on the chief to listen to all the critics when an investigation like this is going on and he can't say anything until it is finished.
