   my first guess was an antiquated cross walk activator, but after closer inspection it is clearly the board of education's random budget generator.

   No, it's definitely a cross walk activator, you can read the "Automatic Signal" raised letters – where were their offices, somewhere in East Norwalk, maybe near the Dooney & Bourke outlet? That doesn't explain where it is, though.

   How about a hint.. I have checked most every place I could think of in Norwalk. I am down to a couple possible areas that might have an old signal actuator. Maybe, give us a taxing district. I give you credit. I though for sure I would have found this.

   I can’t believe it took me song long to find it!
   The signal button is located at the intersection of Van Zant St. and Osborne Ave. in front of the Chinese take-out.
