The Rowayton Arts Center is promoting an art contest and show this weekend. Details from their web site:
The Show is Saturday June 13th, 6 – 8:30 p.m.
• All artists are welcome, including amateurs!
• All art is created only on Friday June 12th and Saturday June 13 & only in Rowayton [but artists of course don’t have to live in Rowayton]
• Bring art to Pinkney Park from 4:00 – 5:00 on Saturday, 13th. If raining, bring to the Seely-Dibble Pinkney House at Pinkney Park [the Rowayton Historical Society house].
• All art should be presented on an easel [the Rowayton Arts Center has a structure for showing your art for those that don’t have easels].
• Your art needs to be picked up after the show is finished; from 8:30 – 9:30 p.m. on Saturday 13th
• The show is judged. Cash prizes being donated by Quester Gallery & the Rowayton Arts Center. Ice Cream tokens being donated by 101.
Adult, Oil/Acrylic:
1st: $200
2nd: $100
3rd: $50
Adult, Watercolor/Pastel/Drawing:
1st: $200
2nd: $100
3rd: $50
Children, age 4-7, any medium:
1st: $25
2nd: 101 ice cream token
