Chester Burger, Pioneer TV reporter, America’s First Communications Management Consultant, Photographer, and Author of UNEXPECTED NEW YORK: Eighty-seven Discoveries in Familiar Places. Mr. Burger will present a slide talk about some of his surprising discoveries in the city –the hidden meanings of man-hole covers, beautiful Beaux-Arts and Art Deco interiors, the original Daniel Chester French sculpture of Abraham Lincoln, President Chester A. Arthur’s home, the high school boy in Brooklyn who discovered America’s oldest railroad, – are only a few of the variety of historical tidbits he has researched, photographed and described.
New York has never seemed so dazzling and intriguing! His city is a great, colorful, historic treasure to be shared and enjoyed by all.
The book will be available for purchase and the author will sign each copy, a must for anyone who visits and enjoys New York City’s myriad attractions and hidden histories.
Following the lecture, a light lunch will be served and a guided tour of the Mansion’s spectacular first floor interiors will be provided
