The Brownstone Gallery on May 2nd, at 7pm will be hosting the lecture “Comics as an Art Form” By Christopher Scalzi and Ian K., of “The Dan and Steve Show.” The Brownstone Gallery is located at 119 Washington Street in the heart of South Norwalk. The lecture will start at 8pm with a reception to follow. Also, in celebration of Free Comics Day, The Brownstone Gallery will be giving out comics, so be sure to get there early.
The Dan and Steve Show currently has 16 frames on display in the gallery’s comic corner, which is part of Christopher Scalzi’s one man show, “Deleted Scenes” now on display. Christopher works out of Stamford CT, but was a native Norwalk resident for most of his life, and is thrilled to have a show in SoNo. Christopher is a professional photographer, who works on personal, comic, fashion, and commercial photography. Ian K., as well as writing and lettering The Dan and Steve show, has been making comics for 6 years, studying lettering and calligraphy for 4 years, and lectures on comics and narrative media at FIT.
Hours for the Gallery are as followed: Monday closed, Tuesday Closed, Wednesday 1pm – 6pm, Thursday 1pm – 6pm, Friday 1pm -8pm, Saturday 12pm – 8pm, Sunday 1pm – 5pm.
