Just as a point of interest, we will be collecting hats, scarves, gloves, toys and food during theses concerts at City hall that will benefit those less fortunate in Norwalk this holiday season. The food (nonperishables) will be donated to Manna House and the hats, scarves, gloves, toys will be donated to NEON for children and adults in need. Look for the appropriate bins in the City Hall lobby. Thank you in advance for your generous support.

These collections are in conjunction with the Norwalk Redevelopment and Arts Council of Norwalk’s Holiday Events and you will see these same bins placed strategically throughout Norwalk for the next 3 weekends culminating on Dec. 20th at the showing of “It’s A Wonderful Life” at the Avrick building on North Main Street at 2pm.

Thanks Diane, puter is down at home so couldn’t post and we all know how badly I post from my blackberry! We will be dropping off the bins at the Maritime in the AM and We will drop the bins at City Hall as well. We are hoping to get new hats, gloves and scarves for those who will be facing the cold winter ahead without them and in some cases without heat etc. So they will come in handy. Hats gloves and scarves are for all ages. Toys 0-13yrs old for those who would miss Christmas this year. The food will help feed all who will not have the benefit of a home cooked meal and will be counting on Manna house. I always like to keep in mind that no matter how bad off we are, there is always someone who has less than we do. So, if you are planning on being out this weekend, please stop by one of the aboved mentioned places and drop something in one of the bins.
