Education Starts With You

Norwalk Public Schools are looking for area experts to volunteer and speak to social studies students.

Subjects in which speakers are needed include African American culture, history and current issues, comparative religion, historical filmmaking and documentaries, Connecticut history, Veteran’s Day, Norwalk history and economy, historical memorabilia, the experience of historical events such as the civil rights movement and the Great Depression, or journalism. Other areas of expertise are welcome.

Anyone interested in volunteering should e-mail Joan Glass, Norwalk’s instructional specialist for social studies, at glassj@norwalkps.org with their name, address, e-mail address, phone number, topic of expertise and background, available times during the school day and preferred grade.
