Stroffolino Bridge To Close On Saturday

NORWALK — The state Department of Transportation said that the Route 136 Bridge over the Norwalk River — the Washington Avenue drawbridge — will be closed to traffic Saturday through early Monday on and also on Nov. 1-3.. The bridge will be closed to traffic beginning at 2 a.m. Saturday morning and all lanes should be open to traffic by 5 a.m. Monday. Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists to alternate routes in the area. Marine traffic will be provided a minimum of a 40-foot channel for passage. Normal marine traffic should not be affected.
