    I was confused when Wendel Architects started talking about the safety of the area.Most of us heard people talk about crime,but lighting was the key to safety.It was pointed out crime happens at the station during the day as well.Someone said it was like having the lights on and no one home trying to explain this stuff to Wendel.They really don’t know Norwalk and admitted work needs to be done in that dept.Getting the whole scoop on the cities needs were not going to come from just the officials they spoke to.

    A woman who lives on chestnut st said someone came into her driveway and drilled a hole for a sample,how could that be true? Not with her permission she said,now this sounds odd where taking houses was already in the news.

    Another woman spoke of cost and safety and some guy by the name of Brown I think I could be wrong interupted her he wasn’t even on the team or was he.Another woman said he is the nice guy who owns the vacant warehouse ripe for buying if the project goes as planned.He seems to be at a lot of meetings anyone know him?

    The underground parking garage gave most the impression of a very bad place a very unsafe area the way it was isolated and gave us reason to worry that anyone could walk down the ramp and help themselves.Henry st side seems to be the in and out yet asked if they have ever been there through all seasons and seen the kids Wendel assured us thats what they do,not many were convinced they really knew what was going on.

    You could see Wendel felt they were in trouble anyone lip reading saw complete surprise they had a room full of people asking the basic and they had no answers,or needed to talk to the city before the answer was given.This was again obvious the plans did not start on their drawing boards it started in Norwalk.

    pathetic reasoning for some issues that no one gave a rats ass about.I think Donald from Wendel lost the crowd by talking about the bike traffic,,,,hello no one rides a bike on south main st not even the cops last couple of bikers lost their bike or teeth on south main st.

    Not even spoke to Amtrack was a red flag after 7 meetings what they hell are they planning a cookout?

    What about the 5,000 square feet of rental space for the other side.yes the plans did not mention anything on the other side the MLK side.Now that was an interesting response it was not anticipated anyone would ask about some facts about the project like that.Why use a four lane highway (MLK) we have a small congested Henry street that can’t even handle what they have now but its in the plans to use it.

    Then Donald said he talked to Hal and his sidekick Tonto from the DPW about things around the station.Now there is an environmental report they admitted generating but when asked where is was,,,,well you got the impression Daddy Dick and the dominoes had to read it first,when did Moccia become an expert environmental issues Stepping stones?

    It was pointed out with security camera’s,MTA police,Norwalk police and private security at the Sono train station we have come off a brutal week where riders and imdediate areas around the train station have seen brutal crimes with handguns and injuries of employees of downtwon Sono businesses who park near the station as well.The security last couple of weeks were beefed up probably anticipating this meeting and still no relief from crime or homeless sleeping on the tracks.

    Then we had a woman from Wendel boast about the safe area on south main she has walked in yet her boss said even I was concerned about the area.a lot to be desired was the term phrase by another engineer.

    When it came to who was going to pay for it only a reporter could give figures on what a space cost to build in a parking garage,he was helpful yet wrote one of the worst accounts of the meeting.

    Now the subject came up about East Norwalk and Rowyaton and even Darien stations and Wendel agreed they should be included in this report,others agree in the room that the other Norwalk stations should not be neglected becuase some of Norwalks elite think we need a Grand Central station instead of a compromise.

    Look at The Hour and then Look at The Advocate and wonder if they were at the same meeting.The Advocate was obviously not highlighted from todays thread it was obvious the reporter served the taxpayers of Norwalk I can’t even describe what The Hour was thinking.

    there something stinks in Norwalk right now and yes its the sewage plant its real nasty today.

    When is the next meeting,I suggest to get there early for a good seat.

    Say what you want for the taxis but when they were on both sides there was a sense of security the riders are not getting from the MTA police LAZ,private police,Norwalk police and the camera’s and yes the taxis were not charging us for the extra security Rillings and Moccia cannot deliver even for a price.

    This study its going to cost the city $50,000,the state what $200,000 what we heard last night was nothing concrete who was going to pay for the train station yet it seemed like alot of money to throw away right now.
