Who cares? Just enjoy the party. Especially if it’s going to piss off the Pasta Nostra guy. He must be ripping his hair out by the handfuls!!!!

You Sexy Thing! — great performance, Tom Tom Club. That was a nice crowd that evening. … and during the intermissions, I did get hints of that neighborhood near the Duomo in Milan.

Turfgrrl, thanks for your vision of Norwalk. Uh, I’m not talking about any grand lofty plans fifty years down the line, but your view of this town today and to be able to see ways to tweak it into fun stuff like this.

I was on Washington Street last night and the crowd was teens who were invited to a teen dance at Rain. However, when flyers were sent out about the dance they did not know that 3-400 kids would show up. Then after waiting in line for over 2 hours most of the line of kids were told to go home they couldn’t get in. It was a great idea but Rain is way too small and the flyers went way too far spread that it looked like there were kids from every town winthin 10 miles. Wasn’t there for the mass exodus but I can tell you, there were a lot of disappointed kids. Too bad Norwalk doesn’t have a big enough space to hold events like this out of the way of places like Washington Street. Is anyone working on a teen center or social center with all this redevelopment?

that was a good account for what transpired #6.the fire dept only allowed so many in the building so yes it was a good thing that simply went bad,why would a teen center be even considered for development that would be counter productive besides I magine a big fence between the haves and have nots its a given to homeless shelter will go on west ave.

Why would anyone consider a teen center? I hope you are kidding. And how could it be counter productive when all these condo’s are going up and apparently affordable housing is a small part of it and I would wager that many of them will have children. So, if you are planning on bringing more people into town, wouldn’t it be smart to have facilities for them? What about the globe? There is so much space in there and would be ideal. I had heard some rumblings a while back that there was someone/some people looking into the possibilities of getting grants etc for this type of venue. What happened there? I think I read it on a political flyer a couple years ago. What happened to that person/persons and what progress has been made? After reading #6 I think more than ever a teen center or social club for them is in order.

Don’t places with liquor licenses need a special permit to hold underage nights? Who approved this?

Is this a test to see how inured Turfgrrl really is? Did I miss the memo?

Vet Park Junkie: Thanks for the kind words above, and yes our commenters truly like to see how much negativity a thread can hold.

I think where the police department refused to comment on the riot that broke out #6 and then find out that two rival gangs were involved that took every cruiser in the city to chase them thru downtown Sono for hours tells me once again the news and the accounts of the evening eluded the facts once again.I challenge anyone to deny the 40 or so Meadow st gang members were a problem in downtown Sono, the gang name is what Money green? Were spotted by and officers of the Norwalk police dept.Yes coffee talk yet the officers drinking the coffee were credible.

There was a reporter denied access to any crime news this last weekend why was that? He was told Norwalk police doesn’t do press on the weekend and then said nothing happened anyway.

Now lets ask the shop owners who for the most part have hired security for their own business in the past months and some don’t sell booze at all.Let ask them whats going on.A lot of empty storefronts are in downtown Sono some windows remain smashed and boarded up why is that?

Talk is now why fix the windows they are broken as soon as there fixed why is that?
