the only rest stop Ct can boast about is the first one coming in the state from RI on I95. It has 24 hour clean bathrooms and a great vending machine wall, plenty of picnic tables and places to grill, its 100 miles south from Norwalk the next one is in NJ so what if Darien doesn't like it,,we should be opening the scales as well 24/7 but won't..

of course no where does it say that the other trucks with no where to park other than the exit and on ramps in Norwalk take the bulk of parking trucks , the accidents, fuel spills and other calls our own Norwalk respond to is also missing from the reporters notes..Talk to Milford town officials they don't mind two of the largest truck stops in the area complete with a Friehghtliner dealer ship pouring thousands of dollars into the coffers,,

does anyone realize how many truck scales we have right here in South Norwalk? along Woodward ave? in the city itself? the man who does the scales in Norwalk does,,whether its a slice of meat or a 70,000 pound load his approved scales do the work,,he also has something to do with the Farmers market at the Aquarium,,he is actually a pleasnat person to deal with,,

did I mention the rest area as you come into RI has maps, and other special events in Ct for the travelers a great place to get Ct information never have I seen any info on Norwalk the center point of tourism in Fairfield county,,must be an oversight huh? or maybe this myth is only in the minds of the dreamers...I'm sure we will be a destination with all the upcoming plans for the city, Bridgeport will always have the larger draft in its harbour for ships thou...

Maybe where GE just bought another gas reclamation company from Scituate Mass they may be planning on tapping the landfills for natural gas here in Norwalk as well..another attraction I assume..donating to Norwalk may be a front..

We need rest area's for cars also so why not Fairfield or Darien or Norwalk ?
